Blooming Chilli Flower
It is about my chilli tree plant. The flowers seemed to be blooming out very nicely, the problem is that come to the following day I see that the flowers are lying on the ground. The plant is growing very nicely , so many flowers are coming out but still no hope of a fruit.
What should I do?
Hi there Aishath,
It's not much that I can tell you what to do without any images of your own chilli tree for me to analyze.
There is a lot of factor which brings to unsuccessful pollination to bear fruits. Have you tried fertilizer which can boost for fruit bearing? Sometimes when the fertilizer that you are currently using is lack of certain element for example magnesium, nitrogen, boron, calcium nitrate which also can contribute to unsuccessful pollination.
Maybe you could do an assisted pollination by do a gentle tap on your chilli tree. When to do this tap? You can do the tapping at 9 am to 1 pm What is pollination?
Pollination is the process by which pollen is transferred in plants, thereby enabling fertilization and sexual reproduction. Pollen grains, which contain the male gametes to where the female gametes are contained within the carpel in gymnosperms the pollen is directly applied to the ovule itself.
Pollination is a necessary step in the reproduction of flowering plants, resulting in the production of offspring that are genetically diverse. Hope this can help you.
